Anime began making a name for itself in the 1960s. As a child, I was only familiar with one of these on the list. Speed Racer. I watched it on cable TV in rerun. And, I loved it. To this day, I can still sing the Speed Racer theme song. The show has special memories for me- as I would watch it with my much younger brother. A family bonding cartoon show.
I am not familiar with most of the list I compiled, nor am I familiar with most anime past or present. But, Speed Racer will forever have a memory bubble in my brain of happy TV watching from childhood.
